Collective agreement reached in the Finnish financial sector

A collective agreement has finally been reached in the Finnish financial services sector after months of long negotiations between the social partners.

The deadlock in the negotiations was caused by a dispute on weekend work. The new agreement now stipulates that weekend work mainly will be agreed on in local negotiations. Trade union Pro has throughout the negotiations stressed that weekend work must be voluntary and take the employees personal life in to account, which is respected in the new agreement.

NFU congratulates its affiliate Trade Union Pro for successfully reaching an agreement for the financial services sector in Finland.
