The European Union celebrates its 60th birthday
On 25th of March, the European Union celebrated the 60th anniversary of the signing of the treaties of Rome. To celebrate the occasion, EU Heads of State met in the Italian capital to reflect on the state of the European Union and its future. The outcome of the meeting was the adoption and signing of a declaration on a joint vision for the next 10 years.
The declaration outlines the issues of security, sustainability and growth, the social dimension and Europe as a global player as priorities for the EU. Read the full declaration here.
