NFU is happy to welcome Hanna Sjölund who last week began her work as policy officer at UNI Europa Finance. Hanna will work towards the EU institutions, to influence the financial regulation to the benefit for finance employees. As always, NFU and UNI work in close cooperation on these issues.

Prior to joining UNI Europa Finance Hanna Sjölund worked as a research consultant at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) in the project “Social Dimensions of Green Economy and Sustainable Development” leading up to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20.

She has also worked as a policy officer at UNI Europa in 2009 for six months as well as worked with a campaign for decent work and with the Fair Trade movement. Hanna has a Masters in Human Ecology from Lund University and wrote her final thesis on Fair Trade’s ability to reduce producer vulnerability to climate change. She also holds a BA in European Ethnology and French from Södertörn University.
