NFU and its affiliates participated in the signing, which brought together trade unions and employers to agree on a common approach to ongoing changes in the sector.

UNI Europa Finance and the European insurance employers – Insurance Europe, AMICE and BIPAR – signed a joint declaration in which the social partners commit to managing transformation responsibly through social dialogue, secure employment, lifelong learning, and decent working conditions.

Against a backdrop of rapid technological change, demographic shifts and growing competition for talent, the European Social Partners reaffirm their joint commitment to managing transformation responsibly. They underline that innovation must go hand in hand with strong social dialogue, secure employment, continuous skills development and decent working conditions.

Susanne Lindberg, Vice-President of NFU and UNI Europa Finance, highlighted the importance of cooperation following the signing:

“By working together, we strengthen the sector’s resilience and competitiveness for the benefit of employees, companies and society.”

For NFU, this is a significant achievement and a strong example of the impact of social dialogue. It will now be essential to ensure that these commitments are followed up on in practice.

Further information about the joint declaration is available on UNI Europa’s website.
