European Institutions
We advocate for Nordic financial employees across the EU, engaging directly with European Parliament and other key political actors. We propose amendments to legislative texts, collaborate with the European Commission's DG FISMA and cooperate closely with UNI Europa Finance. We shape EU policy on behalf of Nordic financial employees.
Trade Union Cooperation
NFU plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration within the Nordic financial community, enhancing its strength by coordinating efforts among Nordic trade unions. This unified approach ensures effective responses to challenges and maximises opportunities in the banking and insurance sectors.
Consultations
We actively shape EU legislation impacting the Nordic financial sectors and their employees from the very beginning. A key part of our efforts involves responding to EU consultations. We engage with all EU institutions and supervisory authorities on various proposals, reports, and discussion papers that affect financial sector employees.
Strength in unity
NFU collaborates closely with UNI Europa Finance on lobbying efforts, consultation responses, and social dialogue. Our long-standing partnership is built on a foundation of strength and shared goals.
