Nordic Financial Unions is excited to announce its renewed funding of the Nordic Finance and the Good Society research project led by the Center for Corporate Governance at Copenhagen Business School. This latest phase introduces five cutting-edge research tracks, each designed to address critical challenges in the financial sector, with a particular focus on sustainable finance, corporate governance and the future of finance in the Nordic region.

This phase will also see a continued emphasis on collaboration, with workshops, seminars, and research exchanges fostering dialogue between industry experts, academics, and policymakers. These efforts aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, creating valuable knowledge-sharing opportunities to shape the future of finance in the region.

This renewed commitment marks another milestone in NFU’s long-standing support of the project, which it has proudly supported since its foundation. With its sponsorship, NFU aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the financial sector's vital role in driving sustainability and innovation, as well as understand the challenges we face in getting there and how to overcome them.

NFU's continued sponsorship of this project highlights our commitment to supporting research and analysing key trends in the financial sector. We believe this research has the potential to profoundly shape policy discussions around the Nordic financial sector's contribution to a sustainable future, said NFUs General Secretary Carin Hallerström,

This research also supports NFU’s lobbying efforts, as it explores the unique strengths of the Nordic model, which has made these countries leaders in prosperity, innovation, and sustainability. The insights generated will provide a foundation for promoting and defending the Nordic model on a broader European scale.

Additionally, this project offers NFU the opportunity to contribute with expertise from a Nordic finance employee perspective to the research.
