Cross-border collaboration
The cooperation between trade unions in the Nordics has a long tradition. In 2023 NFU celebrated 100 years of cooperation. When banks and insurance companies went cross-border, so did the trade unions.
Platform for exchange
Cross-border cooperation enables exchange of best practices, pooling of resources and enables us to talk with one voice, when meeting stakeholders and policy-makers. The trade unions in finance share many common challenges, and through NFU, we provide a platform for exchange.
Conferences and forums
NFU arranges conferences and forums where experts and trade union representatives can meet and learn from each other, as well as gaining new knowledge from interesting speakers. The take-aways form the basis for policy positions and reports.
Nordic Network
NFU follows the work of the Nordic Council of Ministers, and is an active part of Nordic Civ, the network for civil society. NFU cooperates with other Nordic organisations, such as NFS (Council of Nordic Trade Unions), Nordic In (Nordic Industry unions) and ANE (Association of Nordic Engineers).
