Nordic Financial Unions (NFU) is honored to be one of the 40 civil society organisations to take a seat in the Nordic Council’s Network for Civil society organisations. The aim of the network is to strengthen the voice of the civil society in the work towards the Nordic council’s vision of making the Nordic the worlds most sustainable and integrated region by 2030.

In total, 40 civil society organisations are part of the network. The organisations are representing a range of different issues, perspectives and interest groups and come from all the Nordic countries. The organisations were selected through a selection process based on their role in Nordic cooperation and shared interest in the Council’s vision.

General Secretary Carin Hallerström will be representing NFU in the network:

– I look forward to a fruitful cooperation in the network. Workers and trade unions have a significant and relevant role to play in finding solutions for ensuring a green, sustainable, and inclusive transformation of the economy. The finance sector and its employees hold a key role in this process.

The work of the network is set to start after the summer.
